Tanning Tips

Skin Prep

We recommend you exfoliate prior to your contactless spray tan. It will soften the surface of your skin and make it smoother, allowing you to have an even tan application.

Be sure to shave or wax before your spray tan. Close your pores after exfoliating or shaving by turning off the heat for the last 30 seconds of your shower.

Post Tan

Never wash with soap when rinising off your tan. Your tan is still developing even once you rinse it off and it will continue to develop over the next 12 hours. No moisturiser is best during this time also.

TOP TIP: Wash your hands with soap 20mins after your tan.

The key to helping your tan last longer, is by keeping your skin mositurised. Moisturising day and night will keep your skin hydrated and your colour lasting longer.

Before Your Tan

Always apply barrier cream to your palms, back of hands, elbows, knees, back of ankles and feet. This will protect any dry areas and leave you with a very natural looking tan. Reminder that we have barrier cream available for your convenience at our spray tan studio.

Tan Care

Always pat dry with a towel after you shower. Rough or heavy rubbing will take your tan off quicker after a hot shower as your pores are open and skin is softened.

Tip

The best time to have a spray tan is 2 days prior to your event, as your colour will be fully developed and looking its best.
